We've almost met our goal!
We will open WOW Phase II – the dragon sculpture – in Spring, 2008, but we still need your help to meet our fundraising goal. Support our efforts to make the dragon a reality by purchasing an engraved brick that will lead to the dragon.
A Park For All Ages!
Come visit Southeast Clarke Park, one of the most unique parks in northeast Georgia. The park has something for kids of all ages, and for adults who still like to play. With 126 acres, the park has three sections: active recreation, a natural area, and passive recreation.
The park is open from 8:00 am to sunset year-round, and offers recreation and fun for everyone. It is a major destination for Athenians and tourists alike. Here you’ll find one of the best skateparks in all of Georgia, and the largest community-built playground in the state. It also offers the only free, public dog agility course in Athens.
You'll also find a number of programs for youth and adults, including soccer, tennis, and softball.
Everyone needs a good friend!
That's where Friends of Southeast Clarke Park comes in. By raising funds and recruiting volunteers, we work closely with Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services to maintain Southeast Clarke Park and provide special events and programming. We offer volunteer activities throughout the year, and we work on special projects to help make the park an even better destination for the community.
